Mino Raiola and Lazio director Igli Tare have announced legal action against tonight’s RAI investigative programme Report, which looks into the world of agents and commissions.
The show is due to air this evening on RAI 3, with some early details released including a search at Raiola’s Malta offices, which are empty, implying he is using the country as a tax haven.
There are also suggestions Lazio director Tare has shares in an Albanian betting company, Top Bast, as reported by La Repubblica as well.
Tare confirmed he has taken legal action and asked for the programme to be taken off air, insisting the theories are “entirely without foundation.”
Raiola also launched a tirade against the Report staff, who already investigated into Juventus ultras and Yonghong Li’s Milan ownership.
“It is shameful that State television, using public money, should create false news,” Raiola told the Corriere dello Sport.
“RAI ought to guarantee serious journalism, instead they sent to Malta a journalist who said a lot of false things and was unable to find the right address of my office in Malta.
“This ‘error’ is unforgivable, because it casts a shadow over my reputation. My lawyers have already taken action against Report, who I hope will take a step back and take action against this journalist.”

During an investigative programme, agent Vincenzo Morabito mocked Lazio for paying €18m for ‘absolute donkey’ Vedat Muriqi.
Report aired on RAI 3 this evening and was focused on the world of agents and commissions.
It included an interview with agent Morabito, but one of the clips was from when the camera was meant to be off.
He referred to Lazio director Igli Tare, whose brother is the Albanian Consul of Istanbul.
“He has this brother who is the Albanian Consul in Istanbul and suddenly he pays €18m for a player who is an absolute donkey,” said Morabito.
“Simone (Inzaghi) told me: I’m pulling my hair out, here. Stefan Radu tells me he can mark Muriqi with slippers on in training because he’s so bad.
“Muriqi… €18m for Muriqi, and then there are five agents involved with all the commissions. I mean, €18m is a lot of money for Lazio and they get this horrible flop.”
